‘Vitality Shows In Not Only The Ability To Persist
But The Ability To Start Over.’

~F. Scott Fitzgerald

- Search for F. Scott Fitzgerald at Amazon.com

You know what?

I’m starting over…

…all over again!

And this time round I’m just starting… not without ‘Thinking’ about what I’m doing but I am just starting, or getting started – and that’s always a good place to start from, isn’t it?

And where I mean from, is the beginning.

I sort of got lost…

I got lost in looking for assistance from others…

I got lost in waiting for others…

I got lost in all the writing I was doing which felt good but also started to feel like it wasn’t going anywhere.

(Us (Left Handed) artists, eh?)

Do you ever feel like that?

Lost, I mean!

Are you feeling like that, right now?

Well, be sure you do something about it but it doesn’t have to be something you have do straight away but do take time out from what you do, especially if you ‘Think & Feel’ it’s going in the wrong direction.

So do give yourself time to ‘Think’, or not ‘Think’ as the case may be.

Why not start over with a clean slate and write down or state (only to yourself) the things that you would really like to do and then… find a way to do it.

It’s taken me more than 2Months to get myself sorted again but I have only just started, so let’s begin this new journey together because each new day and each new step is always going to be (from) the beginning.

That sounds a bit deep, doesn’t it?

But that’s what came to mind.

Pretty soon, I’m going to be introducing you to the books I have read, the CD’s I have listened to and the the things I have learned (on this site in a round about way)  and from there, let’s see where it gets you, on your personal level.

The aim is to (still) reach to the very top, wherever that may be and to whatever that may mean, to you.

Okay?

You ‘Super-Trader’ you!

Chat Soon!

 …Wilson

P.S. Hmmm…

…a lesson I have learned is to do with another form of ‘Independence’.

There are some things you need help with but for those things you know you can do and do well… those things you have a ‘Driving Desire’ to do, just do it – but do keep in constant check (with yourself) that you are following a set path or set of steps by not letting your ‘Love & Passion’ for what you’re doing get out of (your) control because you may just end up doing more than you can handle.

And where will you end up?

Back at the beginning – but with much learned, so as long as you have the will and ability to start over.

Super-Trader Trait #11: Rigid Risk Control (Take A Chance)

‘Don’t Refuse To Go On An Occasional Wild Goose Chase
- That’s What Wild Geese Are For.’

~Author Unknown
It’s seems I have been adhering to the above quote, that’s why I’ve been away from my writing for so long and as I sit here typing, I’m taking a momentary pause to reflect on how I’ve been doing over the last month or so, as it’s only been one month (i.e. 30Days) that I’ve been away, changing my direction of this and that.
.
Gaps have been filled, things have been stopped, started and turned right upside down too!
.
You too will find once you stop doing one thing, something else will fill its space.
.
That saying ‘Nature Abhors A Vacuum’ is so true and you’ll never be able to find out it’s truth until you stop doing one thing, as that empty space is often filled with another (thing).
.
Y’see I’ve found even before I’ve started to do another thing or project, just like me, if you don’t fill up the time with something worth doing, you’ll find your mind can become crowded with stuff (for want of a better word), which will eventually lead you up the garden path or to something fulfilling and worthy.

Did you get that?
.

So, take a chance on that thing you’ve been thinking of doing, stop doing the thing that you don’t like doing, or what’s causing you to think or feel the wrong thoughts and things (as thoughts are things).
.
Stop doing, what makes you feel (too) uncomfortable, which causes you to feel and act stressed, or takes up too much of your time, where you know you’d rather be doing something else with greater progress but not necessarily with greater ease.
.
The above relates to life and trading, yes (would you believe it), trading the financial markets.

If you feel stuck in your life, there’s nothing like trading the financial markets to finding yourself, as you definitely will.

If you don’t ‘Believe’ me, give it a go (by trading the financial markets, that is).

.
Once you give it a go, you’ll surely find out what it is you really want to do in your life.

That’s all I’ll say on that subject because now it’s up and down to you to find out the rest for yourself.

P.S. There’s so much I want to do… don’t you have something you’re dying to do but just can’t find the time to do it? And by that I mean where you really cannot squeeze any more into your (busy?) schedule?
.
Well, join the club but get it done anyway by taking that well calculated risk/chance!!!

Give Yourself A Chance…

‘A Good Idea Is Never Lost.
Even Though Its Originator Or Possessor May Die Without Publicizing It,
It Will Someday Be Reborn In The Mind Of Another…’

~Thomas A Edison

- Search for Thomas A Edison at Amazon.com

You know what?

I continually live in hope that a stream of good ideas will be ‘Reborn’ in my mind, don’t you?

I mean, there’s talk, rumours and honest to goodness truth that many are creating good ideas every single day. Now it might not be just one person coming up with all of these ideas but they tend to come from the minds of many, even yours!

So what am I talking about today?

My title was meant to say:

‘Give Yourself A Chance
By Doing Something…
…Really Well.’

Even if it means putting the bins out at night… do it really well.

For me, I’ve been focusing on doing what I do really well for years and yes, it does get tiring at times but… if you tire to a degree where it’s no longer working for you like I have found at times, stop what you’re doing, have a good old ‘Think’, regroup your thoughts and keep on going.

By the way, do you belong to a ‘Mastermind Group’ where you sit with others thinking up great and workable ideas?

If you wish to ‘Think’ and be creative like Thomas Edison, it might be a good idea to get involved in such a group, especially if you find ‘Thinking’ alone is too much like hard work.

Anyway, on the subject of ‘Thinking’, ideas and hard work, how have you been getting on with the ‘Super-Trader Traits!’?

And for today’s post, what part of the ‘Super-Trader Traits!’ do you think we’ve been covering about today?

Maybe it’s ‘Desire’, or it could be ‘Methodology’

If you were to take a good long hard look at the ‘Super-Trader Traits!’ list, maybe you’ll be able to see something I’m missing.

Anyway, whatever you’re doing, so as long as it’s good and taking you forward, be sure to ‘Keep Moving Forward’.

You ‘Super-Trader’ you!

P.S. Go on, give yourself a chance, by doing as much as you can to start with and then start to weed away want you don’t want, until eventually, you get and end up with what you do want.

Does that sound like a good idea, to you?

What’s A Situational Advantage?

‘There Is No Situation That You Cannot Turn To Your Adavantage.’

~From The Movie – Red Belt

- Search for the movie Red Belt at Amazon.com

Korrrrj-Blige-Me! (wording supplied by Clinton Harford of UCSD)

That’s a bit of a heavy title, isn’t it?

What on earth is a ‘Situational Advantage’?

You know what?

I’m not sure if the wording makes sense but it came to (my) mind and I thought it a fitting title for what was on my mind today.

And wait a minute!!!

It looks like we have a trilogy on our hands with yet a 3rd quote from the Movie Red Belt and yet again, I’d say those quotes have all been most relevant, especially in my life…

…but more importantly (to you), what about yours?

What about your life?

I’m sure you’ve found yourself in situations you’d rather not be in and you may even be in one right now.

You may be in a trade this very minute, wondering what to do next.

You may be deciding what to do in your worklife, your personal life, or in your life in general.

So now what?

What will you do?

What should you do?

It’d be nice and somewhat comforting to have someone (continually) at your side to instruct and guide you as to what to do… when you’re not sure what to do, wouldn’t it?

Getting a ‘Coach’ might be a good idea (I have one but he’s not always at my side to deal with all of what’s on my mind), or a ‘Mastermind Team’, or you could consult and confide in your ‘Priest, Preacher, Pastor, Minister, Leader, or Rabbi’.

Hmmm…

It seems there are answers to your questions all over the place, meaning there is always someone and somewhere to turn to for help in order to ‘Turn Your Situation To Your Advantage’

All you need to do is ask, open a book or these days (being 2010), goto the search engines(?).

I trust I’m being of some advantage to you, as what you go through, I go through too and the subjects I cover are not to do with all things being ‘Doom & Gloom’ and the things we struggle with…

…this is all about overcoming ‘Doom & Gloom’ and the things we struggle with because once you can apply all of the ‘Super-Trader Traits!’ into your life, you’ll be able to turn all situations to your advantage. It may not always feel as comfortable as you’d like but the main thing is… being able to live with your decisions.

By the way, do you look for good ideas in your life about you?

How does that saying go when things don’t go your way? You know, we’re supposed to say something like:

“Now What’s The Good In This?”

or

“What’s The Positive In This?”

or

“How Can I Turn This Into Something Positive?”

and what about:

“There Is No Situation That You Cannot Turn To Your Advantage.”

Do you know of any more?

Chat Soon!

P.S. There’s much to be said about David Mamet, the Writer and Director of Red Belt, isn’t there? There are so many movies out there with meaning, or at least positive messages…

…and if you’re looking for something (positive), right now, you’ll surely find what you’re looking for, as it’s amongst the myriad of messages you receive all day long, even whilst you sleep.

So don’t be shy, when the answer comes your way, act on it, pursue it, as that’s the clue that could get you out of the situation you’re in right now, whether it’s a good situation or a bad one but the main thing is to get yourself out of it and up to the next (and higher) level.

Is therefore a ‘Situational Advantage’ a situation that you can always turn around, to your advantage?

Are You A Houdini?

‘There Is No Situation That You Can Not Escape From.’

~From The Movie – Red Belt

- Search for the movie Red Belt at Amazon.com

Houdini

Harry Houdini.

You do know who Harry Houdini is, don’t you?

And you do know what it means to be a Houdini, don’t you?

As taken from the Concise Oxford English Dictionary (Eleventh Edition) the meaning Houdini is as follows:

Houdini /hu:’di:ni/
noun a person skilled at escaping

Origin
1920s: from the name of Harry Houdini (Erik Weisz), American escape artist.

So there you have it!

And here we have yet another quote from the Movie Red Belt’. I told you there were some good sayings in it, didn’t I? The Movie, that is and oh… if you missed my last write up about some of my thoughts on the Movie Red Belt’, you’ll find it right here

There’s so much you can learn from the world around you i.e. Movies, people you meet and everything else herein and it seems to me that everything you and I need, we already have… at our fingertips!

So does that really mean if you find yourself in a tight spot, or in a position you ‘Think’ there’s no way out of… there’s always a way out?

Ask someone who knows, by talking to more people, get out there and meet more people, listen to their tales and what they have to say, it beats most Movies by far and you’ll more than likely find the above quote to be true… to you.

But what if you don’t like the way you have to get out of a certain position such as:

1. Taking A Trading Loss

2. Paying a BIG (tax) Bill

3. Ending a certain (and unproductive) relationship (whether it’s work related or otherwise)

4. Or Being In That Red Belt Neck Hold

What if you don’t like the feeling or the prospect or situation you ‘feel’ you cannot get out of because you truly feel stuck and you ‘feel’ it’s not worth trying…

What then?

Well, if it leads you to safety or Freedom, it’s normally the best action to take.

We often find ourselves in a right pickle, don’t we?

Well if you don’t, I do, far more than I’d like, maybe it’s because of the risks I take but they’re not BIG risks but they are wayward enough for me to want to make a change, which makes the situations I get into (mentally) difficult to deal with at times.

So if you find yourself in a sort of ‘Neckhold’ or ‘Stranglehold’ of life, there’s always an escape route and I mean an escape route where you live to tell the tale.

So based on the ‘Super-Trader Traits!’, by studying them, they’re not always going to keep you out of certain situations… but they’ll surely get you out of them based on your core true values and beliefs in what you can do.

So when trading, working, living or doing anything else which is truly important to you (and living is important, isn’t it?), be sure to get all of your priorities in order by knowing what it is you want but more importantly, what it is you don’t want, so when you’re in a situation where you’ve got what you don’t want, always have an idea in how to get out of it.

Did you get that?

So go on, have another look at your ‘Super-Trader Traits!’ list yet again and figure out in the here and now, or better still in the ‘Present Moment’, how you can… Free yourself.

You ‘Super-Trader’ you!

Chat Soon!

P.S. To become Free of whatever situation it is you’re attempting to get out of, from my own personal experience, it does take a good few tries and it could take some time too – but as time goes by, you may even find yourself Free from certain situations before you know it!
Yes… without even realising it!

So this is where ‘Awareness & Concentration’ comes into play because it’s important to know when you’re in (your own) shackles (of the mind) and when you’re not.

When trading, getting out of a situation you don’t like or don’t want, placing a ‘Stop-Loss’ is a good move… so what’s your ‘Stop-Loss’ in life, your life?

How do you get out of the situtions you don’t like?

Because I reckon if you ‘Think’ about it, you may realise you (may) tend to get yourself into the same old sticky situations time and time again – but wouldn’t it be good to put a stop to it or at least lessen the frequency of getting what you don’t want or like?

It takes practice to be a Red Belt’, a ‘Houdini’ or a ‘Super-Trader’, so keeping on practicing, okay?

Are You Aware, Of What Distracts You Most?

‘A Man Distracted Is A Man Defeated.’

~From The Movie – Red Belt

 - Search for the movie Red Belt at Amazon.com

Have you seen the movie Red Belt yet?

It’s a strange sort of movie where it has a very slow lazy sort of start to it – and it sort of goes all the way through the movie in the same sort of lazy and somewhat depressing (at times) manner but it gets there in the end.

What I liked about the movie, were the messages it had within and it seemed the main star played by the actor ‘Chiwetel Ejiofor’ knew what he wanted.

I would pretty much say he had all of his ‘Super-Trader Traits!’ in place and if you watch the movie, you’ll see using your ‘Super-Trader Traits!’ is not all about jumping up and down in a ‘Happy Clappy’ manner with continual smile on your face…

…it’s all about getting the job done, no matter what.

So what job do you need to get done this very minute?

I’ll tell you now, I’ve got my hands full with things to get done but I will get them done…

…but if I don’t fancy doing them anymore, not because I can’t but because I can see it’s no longer leading me to growth, as in it being more of a distraction to where I really wish to get to, I’ll stop doing it.

So whatever you do, don’t be distracted by distractions.

You ‘Super-Trader’ you!

 …The Buyer & Seller

P.S. The world is full of distractions but in order to know what a distraction is, you first have to be aware of it is but not to a point where your concentration on what is or is not a distraction is so involved it distracts you from your game…

…do you know what I mean?

You could still be a Super-Trader without necessarily changing your personality, so go ahead and be who you want to be – but do get the/your job done.

What Would Life Be Like Without Risk?

‘Without Risk We Don’t Have Anything.’

~Colin Stanbridge
Chief Executive of the London Chamber Of Commerce And Industry

re: CNBC 16th Jun 2010

Yes indeed, that quote above was said way back when but it’s not as long ago as what was said by someone like Leonardo Da Vinci, is it?

It’s just as far as I’m concerned, I’ve been away for ages, at least from my writings and what have I been doing?

Taking ‘Risks’ actually!

I’ve been away setting up this project and stopping that project, changing certain projects and turning other projects completely on their heads.

Why?

Not because I wanted to because taking ‘Risks’, Taking Chances and Making Changes is not something I always want to do either, or go full steam ahead into.

But when something is on my mind to such a degree it starts to crowd my thoughts to a point of annoying me, I’ll either deal with it by discarding it altogether, or I’ll go to work on it to fix it to such a degree, it no longer bothers me anymore.

So what about you?

Have you been taking any ‘Risks’ lately?

Any calculated ‘Risks’?

As in ‘Super- Trader Trait’ #11, ‘Rigid Risk Control’?

‘Think’ of this for a moment… where would you be now (in your life) if you took no ‘Risks’ at all?

Just where do you ‘Think’ you would be?

Somewhere better or somewhere worse?

Who knows until you take/took the ‘Risk’.

You Super-Trader You!

Chat Soon!

 …The Buyer & Seller

P.S. If the thought of taking ‘Risks’ now excites you to take action, well, take action  but do know what action you’re going to take, by having a ‘Plan Of Action’, okay?
