Walt Disney, someone to be admired…

Why?

Because of his creativity!

You know what, I bought a book called ‘The Art Of Walt Disney’ some while ago now and have I read it yet?

Not all of it, just paragraphs here and there…

…as I’m still savouring the moment for when I sit down, take my time and study it fully. I bought it from a charity shop — and to me, it’s priceless.

What I also find priceless is the quote;

Did I mention I love to watch cartoons — because I like the colours, they’re so pleasant (especially Disney Colours) I also like the freedom the cartoons portray and I also like to watch them because of the imaginations of the people behind them. I mean have you ever met and sat down with a cartoonist? Perhaps you are one but what about the person who comes up with the story lines?

Wow, what Fantastic Imaginations!

In the world of cartoons, ‘All Things Are Possible!’

What about your world, what do you ‘Believe’ is possible? All things?

What about your trading?

Your trading skills?

Your trading abilities?

Your ‘Belief’ that you will ‘Win!’ today?

Would you also like to adopt the motto to ‘Keep Moving Forward’?

If you watch the movie ‘Meet The Robinsons,’ and I mean it, watch it, watch it as an object of exercise and study and learn from it, if you could see what I saw, you’ll be further inspired to do what you do.

Learn from ‘Walt Disney’ too, ‘Walt Disney,’ a true ‘Super-Trader’ through and through.

I wonder if ‘Walt’ would have agreed with the ‘Super-Trader Traits’ list being:

1. Acceptance Of Losses & Losing (Meaning giving and taking — and also taking the rough with the smooth)

2. Confidence (In all of your undertakings)

3. Desire – A Driving Desire To Become Successful (In whatever you choose to do)

4. Devotion – A Substantial Amount Of Their Waking Hours Is Given To Market Analysis & Trading Strategy (Or ‘Devotion’ to the task you undertake or to your calling)

5. Discipline (Knowing what you must do and then doing it)

6. Independence (Knowing who you are and what ‘you’ wish to do, before having to ask someone what you need to do, whilst already knowing what you really want to do before-hand)

7. Love & Passion For Trading (Or Love & Passion for what you choose to do whereas it feels more like a pastime rather than a job or drudgery)

8. Methodology – To Which They Remained True (Knowing what to do and how to do it in a set and workable pattern. This is rather like having ‘A Formula For Success!’)

9. Patience (In all that you do whilst always being aware of your lack thereof)

10. Resilience – In Overcoming Significant Obstacles To Reach Their Goal (You know this one, it’s otherwise written as; ‘If At First You Don’t Succeed, Try And Try Again!’)

11. Rigid Risk Control (Know why you’re getting into what you get into and fully understand all of the risks involved)

It’s a good list, isn’t it?

Yes, these are the ‘Super-Trader Traits!’ They’ll never change but they can be adapted to suit you and your lifestyle — and if it is the trading lifestyle you’ve decided upon, whether it be full-time, part-time, or just plain old some-time/s…

P.S. I’m always on the lookout for inspiring Films, Books, Subjects, People, yes, anything that will inspire me, afterall, isn’t that what we need in life (many a time), to connect and to find what will, inspire us, to ‘Keep Moving Forward?’

Have you already forgotten your childhood, you know the time when you ‘Believed’ and had an ‘Imagination’ where you could feel you could do and achieve anything, where you could create the tangible from the intangible, or a thing from a thought?

Now come on, if you’re still here, reading this, if you exist and you’ve got this far, is it not possible for you to perhaps ‘Break Into New Ground’ you know, to go (just that little bit) further?

Now go on, get creative because trading is not all about pressing buttons and hoping for the best, you have to use some art, some flair and lots of imagination to get the job done. Are you willing to do all of the above, to ‘Keep Moving Forward’?
